This role carries full project ownership across design, documentation, and delivery for mid-scale architectural projects. The position operates as both design authority and project manager, accountable for translating concept into constructible outcomes while maintaining control over budget, schedule, and technical execution. It directly interfaces with clients, consultants, and internal staff, with responsibility for elevating production standards and mentoring junior team members. About the Opportunity

This position leads architectural projects from early design through construction administration within a design-focused practice. The role owns project execution, including client coordination, internal team leadership, and consultant integration. It operates with autonomy across multiple concurrent projects, maintaining control over technical quality and documentation standards. The position also contributes to internal production workflows, including REVIT utilization and drawing standards.

What You'll Do

  • Lead projects from schematic design through construction administration
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables across multiple engagements.
  • Coordinate consultants, internal staff, and external stakeholders
  • Produce and oversee construction documents with full technical accountability
  • Conduct quality control reviews and ensure code compliance (building, zoning, ADA).
  • Serve as primary client interface throughout project lifecycle.
  • Direct and mentor junior staff in production and REVIT execution.
  • Support specification writing and technical detailing.
  • Participate in business development and client relationship management.

What You'll Need

  • Registered Architect (RA required)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program 6–8+ years of experience within an architectural firm
  • Proven project management experience on $1M–$10M projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk REVIT (required)
  • Strong knowledge of Ohio Building Code, zoning regulations, and ADA requirements
  • Experience producing full construction document sets
  • Background in multi-family, commercial, or higher education projects
  • Experience coordinating consultants and managing internal production teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
