About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Director of Nursing to lead nursing operations within a dedicated post-acute rehabilitation environment. This role requires a visible, engaged leader who can operate both strategically and tactically—driving outcomes while maintaining a strong presence on the floor.

This is a leadership position focused on team stability, accountability, and quality of care, not just administrative oversight.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all nursing operations across the facility, including RNs, LPNs, and support staff
  • Establish and maintain high standards for clinical quality, compliance, and patient outcomes
  • Drive staffing strategy, including scheduling, retention, and reducing reliance on agency labor
  • Mentor and develop nursing leaders, building bench strength and leadership continuity
  • Maintain survey readiness and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, therapy, and support services to ensure continuity of care
  • Oversee departmental budgets, staffing costs, and financial performance metrics
  • Implement performance improvement initiatives tied to quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction
  • Serve as a key leader in shaping culture, accountability, and team engagement

What You'll Need

  • Active RN license (Ohio)
  • 5+ years of nursing experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility
  • Experience within post-acute, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of long-term care regulations and survey processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve culture, and drive accountability
  • Experience with EMR systems (PointClickCare, Epic, or similar preferred)
  • Ability to balance clinical leadership with operational and financial oversight

Why This Is Different

  • Highly visible leadership role with direct impact on team and patient outcomes
  • Opportunity to step into a stabilization-focused environment where strong leadership is needed
  • Mission-driven organization with strong regional reputation
  • Collaborative leadership team and long-term growth potential
  • Ability to influence both culture and operational performance at a meaningful level
